Understanding Nutrition – Part 1

Chronic diseases (also known as non-communicable diseases or NCDs) are killing more people annually than any other cause. In fact, if we look at the chart below we can see that NDCs (cardiovascular disease, cancer, respiratory diseases, dementia, diabetes, etc.) killed 38 million people out of a total of 53 million in 2017 (the latest year for which I can find accurate data). That’s over 70% of all deaths!

To Vaccinate Or Not? A Parent’s Dilemma

 Vaccinations are very much in the news at the moment and everyone is wondering whether or not to have the shots. Interestingly, this is not a new topic and many doctors and scientists have been expressing doubts about vaccinations in general. In particular, there is considerable discussion on whether the current vaccination programme for children is actually safe. The medical authorities would have us believe that it is, but are they right?
